- Budget data — the categories, amounts, and entries you put into RootBudget.
- Basic usage telemetry — page views and error logs, used to keep the app working.
What we don't collect
- We don't ask for or store your bank credentials.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't track you across other sites for ad targeting.
How your data is stored
Your data lives in a managed database hosted on AWS in the US. Backups are encrypted. Only systems and operators that need access have it.
Cookies & analytics
RootBudget uses Google Tag Manager and basic analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. You can block these with any standard tracker-blocker without affecting core functionality.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time. Email myrootbudget@gmail.com and we'll respond within a reasonable window.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll post a notice in the app and update the date at the top of this page.
